Junseok Ko is a partner patent attorney at ECM Patent Law Office and is a member of the application/trial/litigation team in the field of mechanical engineering. He joined the office in 2025 after working at BKL IP and serving at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) for over 20 years.
Mr. Ko earned his B.A. and M.A. in Mechanical Engineering at Kyungpook National University and joined KIPO in 1998. He built his extensive career in patent examination, trial and litigation by serving as the director of various examination divisions including the Precision Components Examination Division and Measuring Technology Examination Division at the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO), as a presiding trial judge at the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board (IPTAB), and also as a technical examiner at the Korean Patent Court.
